3 negatives

One of the negative things about computers is that it is sooooo easy to aquire a virus! they are so hard to get rid of! it slows everything down and eventually you are not even able to turn your computer on! Then you end up spending toooooo much money to get your computer fixed or to get a new one!

Another negative is that they are soooo addicting. People will sit on computers for hours! just wasting time doing nothing. Like checking your facebook and playing that dumb game farmville.. which i have never really understood. Or playing video games. Kids will go home and play video games for hours as well. Computers are one of the reasons kids today or so over weight.. they do not help kids go outside and be active.

The last reason is that people depend on their computers soooo much. I myself have that problem. If i did not have a computer i would be lost from the world. People use their computer for social use but business use as well. Most people pay their bills online and keep track of their finances too.

software use

I currently work at Publix and have been there the last 4 1/2 years. It was my first job and probably my last, I plan on making a career out it. I work at the customer service counter and really the only thing I have to use a computer for is e-mail use. However, we do have a software that stores all of the information that we do in one day on an ISP tape. The stock clerks also use handle helds to scan invetory and do counts. I really do not have to use any software for the job I do. All I really deal with is money.

Which App?

To be honest I dont know much about any of the applications besides word. I have not really ever had to use any other app then that besides powerpoint which i know enough about to get by. So really to learn anything about any of the applications would be nice.

Excel seems like an application that I will maybe have to come in contact with in some point of my life so I would like to learn more about that application for business reasons. For personal use I would love to learn how to use a picture application. I love taking pictures and wish I could crop them and change the colors and what not. I think that would pretty exciting!

Influences of the Internet

I think using the internet has impacted everyones life in some ways. The internet is very convenienet. It is there when you need it in many ways. I use it to pay my bills, shopping, for social use, and research.

Using the internet to pay your bills is quick and easy. Most of the time it goes through right away, there is no mailing in a check and waiting for it to clear the bank and hoping that it gets there on time. Even though i LOVE going to the mall and spending money sometimes it is just so much easier online. Not to mention a lot of your school work is online these days. There is no more having a book and turning in paper work. ALL homework is online. I was very surprised to have a chemistry class that we actually have to turn in our homework on paper on test days!

And who goes to the library these days to do research! Seriously, the web is sooooo much easier! Also, the web is used for so many social networks. Rather it be dating sites, finding old friends from high school, or using websites such as facebook. Which I have to say i did not like at first but now i'm addicted!

first expierence

My first experience using a computer quite some time ago. I was fairly long young, I was probably about ten years of age. My mother worked and a company called Z-Tel. I went to work with her for take your daughter to work day. The lady that sat next to her had called out sick and my mom let me sit at her desk and play games all day. After this day I wanetd to go to work with my mom all the time!

I remember that there was a science game that delt with atoms and you had to match the colors. My mom would play this game all the time at home. From then on my mom couldn't keep me off of the computer playing that game. I'm pretty sure she regretted showing me how to play theat game on the computer.
